A short video clip containing the full answer of Pia is making waves online. Wurtzbach only took around 24 seconds to provide her explanation as to "why should she be the next Miss Universe". With no delay, she articulated her stunning winning piece.
"To be a Miss Universe is both an honor and a responsibility. If I were to be Miss Universe, I will use my voice to influence the youth and I will raise awareness to certain causes like HIV awareness that is timely and relevant to my country, which is the Philippines. I want to show the world... the Universe rather, that I am confidently beautiful with a heart.[sic]"

Millions of Filipinos turned to social media to prematurely claim that Pia is indeed the rightful next Miss Universe winner. Several commenters said that Wurtzbach just said the ultimate winning piece of the night as compared to the other two contestants. However, the hope of the Filipinos to capture the 3rd crown was interrupted when the host of the pageant, Steve Harvey, announced Miss Colombia as Miss Universe 2015.
Fans and supporterts of Pia again turned to social media to air their disappointments of the result but a twist occurred when Steve stepped back on the stage declaring Miss Philippines Wurtzbach as the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe.
This year's Miss Universe competition is composed of 80 beautiful ladies. Miss Colombia was the first runner-up while Miss USA was declared second runner-up.
