Opo Gangnam Style Youtube Video - YouTube sensation and “Pinoyboy” Mikey Bustos together with HeadingUp Productions launched “Opo Pinoy Style,” the Filipino parody video of Korean superstar PSY’s hit “Gangnam Style” a few minutes before midnight Saturday.

The video features Filipino-Canadian singer Mikey Bustos mostly in a barong Tagalog, singing and dancing PSY-style around Rizal Park and the streets of Manila. It presents various aspects of the Filipino practices, eccentricities, food (like balut and tinola) and locations identified with Filipinos. It also presented tinikling, a Philippine folk dance.
“As ambassador of Filipinos online, I wanted to create a song that showed the world what makes us Pinoy. I wanted to rewrite a version (of “Gangnam Style”) that people could understand,” Bustos tells GMA News Online.
Opo Gangnam Style is making the rounds online with
Paula Jamie Salvosa's (a.k.a Amalayer Girl) surprise guest appearance. In November, Salvosa was caught scolding a security guard on video which later became viral. But this time, Salvosa gamely and nicely makes an appearance in a music video.
Bustos created “Opo Pinoy Style” purely for fun, but said that he would love to collaborate with the Department of Tourism one day and show just how fun it really is in the Philippines.
“Opo Pinoy Style” garnered 77,033 views on YouTube and as of this writing it has 2,484 likes.
The hash tag (#)OpoPinoyStyle also trended on Twitter locally.
