Class Suspension Announced by Palace due to Typhoon Ruby

December 8, 2014, Monday, President Benigno Ninoy Aquino III declared Class suspensions at all levels and work in government offices in Metro Manila, Region IV-A and Region IV-B. Only people who are assigned to help certain districts will report to work today due to the frightening typhoon Ruby with a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.


It is good news for everyone. Students and employees used to complaint about how they were treated during the landfall of typhoons in the country but currently the action of the government is favoring them.

“Hindi kami isda o salbabida.”

Well, you’re heard today, enjoy your vacation.

Class suspensions at ALL LEVEL were made for people to remain at their safe zone in these places:
Region III Bataan Province, Bulacan Province, San Fernando City, Pampanga
Region IV-, Cavite Province Laguna Province Quezon Province Rizal Province
Region IV-B, Oriental Mindoro Romblon Calapan City
Region V, Camarines Sur Camarines Norte
Region VI, Sagay City, Negros Occidental , Capiz
Region VII, Cebu Province, Talisay City, Lapu-lapu City, Mandaue City, Carcar City Bohol Province
Region XIII, Butuan City
NCR, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Navotas City, Valenzuela City, Pasig City, Muntinlupa City, Pateros, Quezon City, Makati City, Marikina City, Mandaluyong City, San Juan City, Las Piñas City, Malabon City, Manila City
Suspensions for PRE-SCHOOL TO HIGH SCHOOL only in:
Region IV-B, Palawan, Northern Palawan,
Region VI, Cadiz City, Zarraga, Iloilo,
NCR Caloocan City
In Dumaguete City only Pre-school was suspended.

Meanwhile, Cebu City will have to make its own declaration since it is a lone district.

Also, some 194 international and domestic flights were cancelled today. The Manila International Airport Authority Media Affairs Division announced the news. International Flight going to Singapore, Macau, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai were cancelled, and additional 18 flights were declined.

Domestic Flights going to Iloilo, Davao, Cebu, Bacolod, Laoag, Tagbilaran, Calbayog, Naga, Le3gazpi, Masbate, Roxas, Tacloban, Calibu, Palawan, Zamboaga, Puerto Princessa, Cagayan, Dipolog, Dumagueta, Batanes, Surigao, Tugegarao and San jose were also cancelled and 186 domestic flights were declined.

However, flights can be rescheduled in between 30 days after typhoon Ruby would be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

For drivers, keep your tires fresh and new. Give way to other drivers to avoid traffic Jam.
