Help Combat Misinformation Before National Elections: Reviving My Blog to Foster Critical Thinking and Wise Voting Decisions

People often ask why I decided to revive my blogs recently. I have a few straightforward reasons for this, and in this blog article, I’ll elaborate and discuss them in detail.

Reviving my blog and intensifying my social media presence before a national election campaign is crucial for me as a blogger aiming to influence public opinion and engage with a wider audience. In the digital age, my blog and social media platforms serve as powerful tools for disseminating information, shaping narratives, and fostering community discussions. By revitalizing my blog, I can provide timely, insightful content that resonates with readers, while an active social media presence ensures this content reaches a broader, more diverse audience. This dual strategy not only enhances my visibility but also positions me as a credible voice in the political discourse, ultimately driving higher engagement and impact during the election period.

This approach mirrors what happened during the 2022 national elections in my country. Large news agencies in the Philippines disseminated a vast amount of information to support their preferred presidential and senatorial candidates, which needed to be corrected. Although my influence and followers form a small community, our combined efforts and my web presence played a significant role in countering the fake news spread by these large private groups.

Despite my busy schedule in the corporate world, I can’t ignore the new tactics being employed by leftist parties and groups to gain an advantage in the upcoming national election. Their aim seems to be to control both national and local governments for their own personal interests, rather than for the benefit of the Filipino people.

Starting today, I am dedicating and allocating ample time to write blog articles that are factual and informative. My goal is to educate not just my readers, but also the general voters community. I hope that my efforts will promote positive engagement by sharing compelling information backed by statistical evidence and factual data. I also look forward to posing thought-provoking questions that will encourage voters to think critically.

Let’s unite and collaborate to combat the spread of misinformation by large social media groups and private news agencies.
