The city government of Manila raised the reward from P200K to P300K for anyone who can lead the authorities to arrest the unidentified killer of Police Officer 3 Ronaldo Flores. The crime investigators also released a photo of the suspect which was generated from a CCTV footage, the ABS-CBN news reports.

Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada initially offered P200K reward for anyone who can help identify the whereabouts of the killer of PO3 Ronaldo Flores, who was gunned down and killed while on duty last week at 2155 Legarda Street corner Claro M. Recto Avenue in Sampaloc. However, case investigator SPO1 Jonathan Bautista announced a higher reward value of P300K yesterday at Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Section to hasten the resolution of the crime. Aside from the reward, the office of the Mayor also ordered the creation of a special task force to immediately close the case of PO3 Flores' killing incident.
In a certain news report, 46-year-old PO3 Rolando Flores was allegedly clearing the area along Legarda Street corner Claro M. Recto Avenue at around 7:43p.m on November 13, 2014 when he was gunned down at close range by an unidentified attacker. Additional reports mentioned that the Manila cop was repeatedly shot in the head and body. According to some news outlets, Mayor Estrada's convoy was supposed to pass this route that night (Manila Bulletin). This prompted the followers of the Mayor to speculate that he could be the other target of the suspect. However, this rumor has not been given much attention of the Manila Police district.
As of writing, the Manila Police District continues to conduct follow-up operations to capture the suspect. Also, the investigators are yet to identify the motive in the killing.
The MPD announced that their hotline, (02) 5244311, is always open to receive tips and information regarding the whereabouts of the killer.
