I’m amazed and inspired! But Direk Cathy-Molina Garcia cleared that she made a twist and changes on the story of the popular book, however, she took the same title to cater not only teen generation but matured audiences as well.
SDTG The Movie was initially shown in local cinemas last week, July 16. The lead characters in the movie, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, are so happy to know that they’re receiving positive reviews of the movie. Not only that, in a week they already earned P130 million.
Despite the positive reviews from professional fans, several negative comments and reactions were posted online. Some netizens criticized Kenji Delos Reyes' look and outfit in the movie. Fans of Nirvana hated to see Kenji having a long hair and for wearing a Bandana and Nirvana shirts. It negatively impacted the people in the music industry, even skaters reacted the same.
Men “having long hair and wearing nirvana shirt are not a “Gangsters. Our Nirvana is not a Gangster! WE ARE NOT GANGSTER!,"the fans exclaimed.
In any way, we cannot define the movie by how the characters look, but on how the story affects and touched our lives.
