Movie Update: Hercules (2014) to Rule the Philippine Cinemas this coming Weekend

By: Mikalalalo in Entertainment

Hercules: A much awaited movie. Three sleeps to go and you can watch it on you favorite cinema.

The only thing more intense than the blazing sound effects of Hercules trailer is “the Rock”! He is absolutely strong, loud and he pretty much suits himself as the legendary God, perfectly.

You read it, it’s Dwayne “The rock” Johnson!

Staring Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson is returning to the big screen in a unique way! He’ll be playing the role of Hercules that will be launched on July 25!

Have you watched the trailer of Hercules?

In the trailer, it says “Before he was a legend, he was a man.” So now, we have the idea that the story of Hercules will tell us his pre-God being, and would show us that he is mighty strong.

The movie trailer begins with a voice over which says, “No matter how far you go, man cannot escape his fate.” It continues to speak and asks, “Who are you? Are you a murderer? Are you a mercenary who turns his back on the innocent? We believe in you. We have faith in you. Remember the deeds you have performed.”

Then suddenly a sea monster, gigantic roaring lion, multiple ferocious beasts, warriors waging for war and guess who comes to save the day? – No other than, the man of mighty, Hercules.

Before the trailer ends, a voice over says “Are you only the legend or are you the truth behind the legend?” the voiceover shouts. “Who are you?”

We all know the story of Hercules is based on Radical Comics’ Hercules by Steve Moore but Hercules 2014 (the movie) is far from a history lesson. Battles, blood, beasts and a very burly man, “The Rock” will hit our screen together with the stars of Golden Globe winner Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and Academy award nominee John Kurt, also with Aksel Hennie, Ingrid Berdal, Reece Ritchie, Tobias Santelmann, Rebecca Ferguson, and Isaac Andrews.

Let us all get hungry as Hercules tries to save our day! See you guys on the nearest theater. Mark your calendar, Saturday, July 25.

Make sure to watch the full trailer of Hercules. Written by Ryan Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos. Directed by Brett Ranter.

Mickaela R. TanBonLiong is the writer behind the article you read above. Has grown up fantasizing "sex and city" series or movie. I've been wanting to be a writer like Carrie Bradshaw. Writing, Clothes, Girlfriends, Good Places, and to be with someone I could sing and dance through (if you know what I mean) is what I call life. To be able to be an author of a book of what I can call my own is my dream. Writing for DiversityHuman feels like I am one step closer to it. :-)
