The Return of San Miguel Beermen (PBA 2014)
I was around 11 years old when I got indulged in the world of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It was the time when Asi Taulava was still producing monster stats a la Shaquille O’neal, Mark Caguioa was still a freshman playing for Brgy. Ginebra Kings and Sta. Lucia Realtors still had their Twin Towers consisting of Marlou Aquino and Dennis Espino. The time when Alvin Patrimonio, Nelson Asaytono, and Johnny Abbarientos were still active. And of course, that was the time when my favorite PBA team of all time was still in its glorious days – the San Miguel Beermen.
Manny Pacquiao Turns down a Fight against Floyd Mayweather, ONCE AGAIN!
After the alleged “done deal” that was claimed by a certain boxing news source, all of us became thrilled and excited because we thought that the Fight of the Century, between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr., will finally take place. But I suppose many boxing fans will be frustrated once again when reading this news.
Manny Pacquiao once again rejected the fight against Mayweather for the “nth” time!
Mayweather usually avoids any talks regarding a possible fight with Manny. But this is really disappointing since Pacquiao was reportedly the one who turned down the said fight this time.
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao Keep on “DUCKING” Amid WBC’s Mandatory boxing Fight
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Keep on “DUCKING” Amid WBC’s Mandatory boxing Fight
The fight between WBC Welterweight Champion Floyd “Money“ Mayweather Jr. ( 45 W 0 L 0 D 26 Kos) and Fighter of the Decade Manny “ Pacman “ Pacquiao ( 54 W 5 L 2 D 38 Kos ) that all boxing fans have been dreaming about seems to be likely possible ….. AGAIN.
After handful of failed negotiations between the two camps due to several reasons, the WBC now considered Pacquiao as the Mandatory Challenger to Mayweather’s championship belt. Some of the reasons for previous failed negotiations were the Urine and drug test, the revenue split, and unconstructed stadium that will fit all those who will watch the event. All of these unsettled agendas were spitted by both camps which resulted to great disappointments.
“Unpleasant Confrontation” Spoiled Danny Ildefonso’s ties with Petron Blaze
Danny Ildefonso was a former two time MVP in the PBA. I’ve been a longtime fan of him eversince his San Miguel Beerman days. His “Raise the Roof” taunt always makes me animated. His post moves were very well documented, an arsenal that became a big problem for every opposing teams before. Those were the days when Danny I was still young, athletic and stupendous.
The San Miguel Management even offered him the maximum contract and insisted that they will never let Danny Ildefonso walk away from them that easy because of all the things that he had contributed for the team.
