Bullet Without Gun Is Not a National Security Threat
One government official firmly stated that bullets without a gun shouldn't be considered a national security threat. The politician explained to the journalists that there's no security risk if someone carries one live bullet without a handgun.
Former Senator Francis Nepomuceno 'kiko' Pangilinan shared his insights regarding the viral "Tanim-bala or Laglag-bala" issue allegedly happening at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport(NAIA). In an interview, Kiko said that "ammunition is a very broad terminology that requires specification." He added, "is one or two bullets without a gun any threat at all?".
Similar views to Kiko are also found on social media. Even gun owners believe that carrying a bullet wouldn't have a huge impact unless you have the gun to fire the ammunition. However, an opposite view was issued by Mar Roxas who mentioned that those passengers caught with bullets in their luggage should be held liable and be penalized.
Meanwhile, the ongoing violent arguments on the internet stemmed from the post of an old balikbayan who exposed the rampant extortion at the airport. The senior citizen explained that the highly organized "bullet-planting" modus operandi in NAIA made her pay P500 to avoid jailtime.
