Luggage of an OFW Stolen at NAIA, Video Shared on Facebook
Several items were stolen from the luggage of an Overseas Filipino Worker(OFW) who arrived at the Ninoy International Airport (NAIA) this month. The traveler, who came from Canada, claimed that much-loved items from their baggages were missing. A video showing the forcibly opened suitcases and travel bags was posted online.
A certain concerned netizen identified as Cenia Delrosario shared a video on Facebook regarding the alleged missing items from their luggage. The video which runs for about 5 minutes contains several descriptions of the incident but it lacks hard evidence if NAIA baggage handlers are indeed the prime suspects.
In the clip, the videographer accused the NAIA airport employees for stealing the contents of the travel bags. She also said, "Nakakahiya po ang airport natin."
"Sana sa gobyerno po natin maiapabot," she added.
The video, however, has drawn mixed reactions from netizens. Several commenters questioned the approach of Cenia Delrosario. They argued that the case should have been reported directly to NAIA authorities for them to properly investigate if the missing items in the luggage of the OFW were stolen by the NAIA porters.
