Letran Knights didn't give up the 2nd game against the Red Lions of the NCAA men's basketball finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last Saturday night.
The Knights headed by Coach Louie Alas sent the unhappy Red Lion home with a final score of 64-55.
However, Letran Knights are threatened to play without Coach Alas in game 3 because of a possible suspension due to the post-Game Two incident the other day when Alas gave the game officials a cut-throat gesture in disgust of the officiating.
Philstar reported that Alas will not make any comments until he received official word from the game officials regarding the ban.
"I'm sorry but I can't comment on this at the moment, I hope you understand," said Alas.
Technical committee head Romy Guevarra, for his part, was also dragged into the controversy after a video grab that is now viral on social media networks like Twitter showing him giving Alas a dirty finger right after the Knights' win over the San Beda Lions in best-of-three title showdown of the 88th season of the NCAA men's basketball finals.
