Parokya ni Edgar recently stormed the stage of Yahoo Awards 2014 and was recognized as the 'Best Band'. Chito Miranda, who was involved in a sex $c#nd@l issue last year, was very honored to receive the award. He was also very thankful to all the support the band received from the local fans and co-OPM musicians. The band marked another achievement in their career for having the recognition for three consecutive years from the said award giving body.
“We are(sic) formed since 1993 and we are in the music industry for almost 20 years already, but we can still get award like this, “Best Band award” from Yahoo awards. “YAHOO talaga” – Congratulation Paroks!

Last Friday, July 18, 2014, Yahoo celebrity Awards was held in the Mall of Asia Arena. The extravagant night was intended to hard working celebrities.
Parokya ni Edgar, favorite band of the night, was so overwhelmed that they decided to raffle a limited edition of Parokya T-shirt for those people who still believe in them.
“Pangatlong taon niyo na kami ginagawang band of the year at kasalanan niyo lahat ang lahat ng tagumpay na nakakamit ng banda namin. Because of you, we are here!"
The raffle was done by posting a photo that would serve as a proof that the fan really voted for them. The submitted images were mixed up and the group drew the winner.

Yesterday, on the Parokya ni Edgar official Facebook page, they announced the winner, Henry Caga Peñamayor. Free limited edition shirt for you by Parokya ni Edgar! Congratulations Henry! (It’s funny because it is also the name of typhoon today.)
Neri Naig, his proud fiancée, was also happy about the accomplishment of his boyfriend. When local journalists asked Chito about his love life, he quickly declined to open it up to the public.
"Ang corny kasi, whenever I see celebrities talk about their love life. I find it corny. So I don't wanna be part of that." He also mentioned “I rather talked about the band." However, he said Neri and him are in love and happy together.
When asked of their wedding date, he declared that their wedding is already planned.
"Bago pa ako magpropose, I already had (wedding) plans. But I'd rather not talk about it."
While Parokya ni Edgar celebrates for receiving a Yahoo Award, a rumor has echoed online regarding their new album this 2014, but Chito and the band members , Buwi Meneses, Darius Semaña, Gab Chee kee and Dindin Moreno, said they’re still in the process. So let's just wait for it!
Almost 15 albums were successfully released by the group since they started their professional career back in 1993.
Lastly, I also like to congratulate Kim Chui for receiving two major awards; Celebrity of the year and Actress of the year.
