Facebook fake likes will soon come to an end

facebook-fake-likes.jpgSan Francisco, California - Giant social networking site, Facebook.com is weeding out fake "likes" which are generated by spammers, malwares, and black marketers.

Facebook said that corporate pages will likely drop the number of likes by less than one (1) percent on average. Most of these Likes come from bogus/fake Facebook user accounts of the social network.

Facebook's improved systems have been configured to identify and take action against malicious Likes.

PD*17087469The most common attacks are the deceitful spam-like applications encouraging users to click on a link to watch a video but in return it generates a Facebook 'like' without the user's knowledge.

Facebook's attempt to cleanup unwanted likes will benefit both users and the credibility of company pages on the network by giving more accurate measurement of fan count and demographics.
