Paranaque Teacher Alma Flor poked student with mop (Camp Claudio)
Alma Flor, a grade 6 teacher at Camp Claudio Elementary School in Paranaque, is accused of poking a student with a mop.
According to the evening news report of Bandila, elementary teacher Alma Flor allegedly screamed and poked a grade school student named "Princess" using a floor mop. The victim told the news reporter-Dominic Almelor, that teacher Alma Flor didn't like the way she cleaned the area assigned to her.
The victim is shocked and traumatized by the incident. Fearing that it will occur again, Princess said that she no longer want to go to school this Monday.
Alma Flor declined to face the media. However, during a phone interview she admitted that she used the mop to get the attention of Princess.
"Wala akong ginawang kasalanan. Kinuha ko yong atensiyon sa pagsundot ng... Nasaktan ko siguro yong bata dahil nga siguro po nga eh payat yung bata," Alma Flor said.
Meanwhile, several parents put up a signature campaign and threaten to have a rally next week if the administration of Camp Claudio Elementary School fails to relieve the abusive teacher. The parents also brought the maltreatment case to Deped officials.
DiversityHuman.com's take on this incident.
From the statement of Alma Flor, she mentioned "Nasaktan ko siguro yong bata dahil nga siguro po nga eh payat yung bata."
It looks like the abusive teacher considers "poking a fat student does no harm". Alma Flor, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to explain the effect of the amount of force that you apply over a body to find out its effect. ( In Physics, we don't say "TO a body" it's OVER a body when force is involved.)
Another thing-Why use the "MOP" to get the victim's attention considering that you already SCREAMED in front of Princess?
Third, why resort to physical contact in getting someone's attention?
Alma Flor, we are sorry to say this! We think that you are a mother but you never became a responsible parent!
