Boastful National University (NU) Graduate Insults Call Center Agents
An alleged jobless college degree holder named Erickson Ignacio Marcos posted a mean message against call center agents on his Facebook status which triggered an online debate. According to some blog feeds, he is reportedly a National University (NU) alumni !nsulted the Business Process Outsourcing employees and bragged his 5-year degree from the said campus.
Furious call center agents stormed the social media account of Erickson Ignacio Marcos after his status went viral the other day. Many of the commenters argued that his “logical” reasoning is flawed.
In a response to the humiliating post, a certain netizen shared a screengrab of the boastful message. The screenshot also include the photo of the NU graduate with a caption;
“I messaged him to say how much infuriated I am by his non-sensical belief about the BPO and Call Center industry. I’ve never been a call center agent because I know wouldn’t be able to handle the kind of stress that the agents are managing, not including the days and nights that they have to work to feed themselves and their families. I worked for a call center and now with a shared services company and I cannot, in any way, fathom the idea on how blind-sided he is on this industry! If he was indeed a graduate of a 5 year course, he should’ve used all of his remaining brain cells, including all the thinning synapses of his so-called brain to understand that the call center industry is feeding the jobless and improving the economy of the Philippines. This industry has placed us in the map because of our abled and well educated professional agents. Need I say more? To all netizens, please forward his post so that everyone may know how smart and educated he is. To the social media, please repost his proud and non-offensive remarks and see who’s educated now. #ericksonignaciomarcos you will be popular! I will tell you now.”
Meanwhile, a netizen identified as Dandy Ochotorena defended the boasful opinion of Erickson Marcos against call center agents. In a Facebook status he said, “Please do respect his opinion and be open minded ur not the only living thing in this planet..[sic]”
