Love Anover recalls typhoon experience in Leyte
One of the most reliable field reporters of GMA news, Love Añover, recalled her life threatening experience during the peak of the devastating force of super typhoon Yolanda when it slammed her own hometown in Leyte.
The "Unang Hirit" host became emotional when she relayed her story to the "State of the Nation" anchor, Jessica Soho. Añover related that her team was full of hopes since they were hiding inside the Leyte Cathedral. But they started to feel threats when the strong winds blew a large chunk of the Cathedral's rooftop.
Love Añover said that Letye is commonly visited by typhoons even when she was just a child. However, typhoon Yolanda's massive intensity was incomparable to the previous typhoons that hit the province.
Watch Love Añover narrating the dangers she experienced when typhoon Yolanda smashed the area of Leyte last November 8, 2013.
