Philip Morris executive Robert Blair Carabuena suspended while MMDA officer Saturnino Fabros got promoted

Philip Morris resource manager, Robert Blair Carabuena was suspended by Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC) following his involvement in a road rage against an MMDA officer, Saturnino Fabros. Robert Blair Carabuena is now facing a formal complaint for direct assault filed by the MMDA enforcer.
In a statement, PMFTC confirmed that Carabuena is one of its employees.
“While the complete facts surrounding the incident are not yet clear to make a full appreciation of the situation, the company would obviously not condone inappropriate conduct by any of our employees,” it said. (Manila Bulletin)
Yves Gonzalez, MMDA Traffic Discipline Office head, said Traffic Constable 1 Saturnino Fabros has been recommended to be promoted to Traffic Constable 2 for remaining cool in the face of an allegedly abusive motorist. “By trying to enforce the traffic regulation strictly, Mr. Fabros showed his diligence and dedication to his work. Moreover, he showed his utmost patience and tolerance by not striking back at the aggressor,” Gonzalez said.(PDI news)
