Beauty Queen Title Won by Indonesia at Miss International 2017 Backed by Filipino Pageant Trainers
Tokyo, Japan - Millions of Filipinos watched the coronation night of Miss International 2017 and were expecting that the contender from the Philippines 'Mariel de Leon' will take home the crown. However, Miss Indonesia stood up among the rest who caught the attention of the respected judges.
Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines passed her crown to the new Miss International 2017 Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia. Kevin outscored all other contestants from 69 countries.
During the post-pageant interview, Lilliana said to the journalists;
"I still can't believe it. It’s still a dream come true for me."
Important Facts that you should know about Kevin Lilliana
Lilliana was chosen as the first runner-up in Puteri Indonesia (Miss Indonesia) 2017. This competition is the biggest and grandest beauty contest in her country. Kevin holds the Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2017 title whose responsibility is to promote environmental awareness and and discuss issues that contributes to the destruction of mother nature.
Miss Indonesia started joining modeling competition at the age of four. With such early interest, one can really tell that Miss Indonesia was really preparing for her future in this industry. She became a professional model when she was in college. She admitted that she was boyish and preferred to wear jeans and t-shirts as compared to wearing skirts and girls garments.
